Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 eliminatories : Lionesses move to the next round

Cameroon qualified for the fourth round of the qualification competition for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games beating the Democratic Republic of Congo on an aggregate score of 3 goals to 2

After emerging victorious in the first league of the match against DR Congo on the 3rd of October 2019 by 2 goals to 0 at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium, the Indomitable Lionesses narrowly escape the Congolese trap at the Martyr Stadium of Kinshasa by a 2 goals to 1 defeat from the Congolese National Team in the return league, to sail to the next round of the competition.  After been led by 2 goals to 0 in the first half, captain Augustine Silvia SILIKI Ejangue and her team mates remained highly concentrated throughout the game as they as well multiplied attacks in the front line with Ajara NCHOUT NJOYA netting in the lone goal for Cameroon at the 80th minute of play. Cameroon sailed through this phase by an aggregate score of 3 goals to 2. The Head coach Alain DJEUMFA will probably be managing a more experience team for the next round of the competition as Gabriel ABOUDI ONGUENE will be making her come back. The Indomitable Lionesses will be meeting a no nonsense Cote d’Ivoire side for this 4th round qualifiers. Cote d’Ivoire happened to have eliminated the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
